Getting there. Airlink 100 operates express bus services to the city centre. Buses run every 10 minutes and depart from the bus station next to the terminal. An open-return pass costs 5 GBP. The N22 night bus runs between midnight and 4 a.m. Taxis wait at a rank next to the terminal, and cost approximately 10 GBP-20 GBP to the city centre, depending on traffic and time of day. Waverley, Edinburgh's main railway station, can be reached by bus or taxi. Regular trains leave Waverley for Glasgow and most major destinations throughout Scotland and England. Getting around. The Apex City Hotel Edinburgh is in Grassmarket. Edinburgh city and the Lothian region are served by a good bus network. From the Airport just follow the City Centre road all the way in. No turns until you reach Princes Street, Edinburgh’s main street, with shops on one side and the Castle on the other.
As you reach Princes Street, turn right onto Lothian Road and then first left onto King’s Stables Road. Follow this road as it winds its way around the foot of the Castle. After approximately 400 metres you will come out into the Grassmarket, where the Apex City is located.
Trains:
The Grassmarket is only a 10 minute walk to the south of the Station but we recommend that you take a taxi (5 minutes) as the approach is quite hilly in parts, especially near the Castle.
Automobiles:
If you are driving into Edinburgh the simplest way to get to the City Hotel is to head for Princes Street, Edinburgh’s main street. You will immediately see the Castle and the Grassmarket is located directly behind it.
