The easiest walk up to the summit is from the car park beside Dunsapie Loch. Since the late 1940s Edinburgh has played host to the International Festival and the Festival fringe. This has grown over the years and now includes the Military Tattoo, the Film Festival, the Book Festival, the Jazz and Blues festival and the Mela. The A720 to Edinburgh Airport, A7 to Gala, A68 to Jedburgh, and the A1 to Berwick upon Tweed all converge at the Sheriffhall roundabout from which an exit leaves directly to Old Dalkeith Road (A7) and Arden Guest House. The area in which the guest house is situated, is called Little France and it is exceptionally well served by the Lothian bus network in the area, including numbers 33 and 49 all passing on a frequent basis and we have a bus stop right outside our door.
