Not great VFM. A bit far from city centre for me. Stale smell in corridors. Rooms a bit dated.

What mattered, staff, service, quality of beds etc you couldnt fault but the Hotel itself could do with some titivation, looked a little tired in places. Would have been disappointed if I paid full price but will be going back again at discount price :-)

Well appointed rooms, comfortable beds, ensuite has lotions, soaps etc. TV is often badly tuned to stations. The food is good, lots of breakfast choice, and good lunches/dinners/celebration meals. The hotel looks a bit tired, can be noisy because of position. The hotel is spread out and finding where your room is can be tricky. Sometimes there is a lack of staff in the bar which can emulate the 'Marie Celeste'. Staff are pleasant and helpful, will obtain taxis etc. and give directions. The position is useful for Bath and Bristol and access to Motorways.

My partner and I were amazed how easy it was to locate the hotel and not too far from the centre. Short Taxi ride costs 8 into the centre and cost the same to return to the hotel.

The hotel was very good value, it was a standard room very clean, we didn't go out in the evening we used the restaurant and bar in the hotel the food was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and we have already recommended it to family and friends. Also there is a large car park.

The hotel is well out of town and with the exception of a fantastic Indian restaurant across the road offers little in the immediate vicinity by way of entertainment or dining out. The hotel has a pleasant lounge bar and I found the staff to be polite and helpful. I can confirm that the breakfast was also very good and the laterooms rate of 69 for a twin room was excellent value for money.

Great find - would definately stay again. Breakfast was a bit haphazard, but when the food arrived it was great

Reception area a little dark and needs brightening up. Some trip hazards in places that need some attention.

The only thing that was not quite good enough was the serving at breakfast on the Sunday morning. We waited 15mins for a second serving of toast and then we got two offered.Organisation?!

The breakfast was really nice and the hotel in parts was lovely. Our room was really small though and the bed was only a 4 foot wide I think. We had to fit a cot in as well, in the end we put the cot in the bathroom as that was quite big. The hotel had character and it was nicely decorated, but without double glazing it was quite noisy and close to a busy junction. Having said all that we did get a really good deal so we were happy enough.
