The Hotel is somewhat threadbare and in need of redecorating, but the staff were cheerful enough. The biggest bugbear was the fact that the key system had broken down (aledgedly) and evry time you wanted to get into your room the porter had to accompany you to open the door. Car Parking is on the street though free at night. Plenty of food choice within 5 minutes walk.

The Berjaya Eden Park is located just 1 minute from Bayswater tube and 5 mins from Queensway tube, and is surrounded by a wide choice of restaurants, shops and amenities. The entrance and lobby are nicely decorated, with a bar, restaurant and lounge area adjacent. Reception staff are friendly and efficient, keys to rooms are the 'card' type. The hotel comprises 2 connected Edwardian buildings, so there are some steps between the upstairs connections to each wing of the hotel. The corridors however, are quite narrow, which is usual in London hotels like this, carpets are looking worn in the corridors . The room I was allocated was number 123 on the first floor. This was a twin bedded room, overlooking a street to the side of the main entrance. Although quite small, the room was adequate for my needs, but guests with lots of luggage might have problems with storage. The only problem I had here was with the heating radiator - there was a constant sound of water running through the pipeworks, but the radiator gave out no heat. In the shower room, you will find a shower tray designed specifically for 'size zero' supermodels, in other words just 1/2 the size of any normal shower. Don't bother with the shower curtain - it will just stick to your body like cling film!

This was a terrible experience for me. I had booked through other agencies and had stayed at Glasgow Marriott and Crown Plaza earlier. For Crown Plaza I paid a little heavy amount as I booked it for 1 night that too at the last moment due to a missed flight. But prior to this I had stayed at a similar hotel at Bayswater (about 3-4 minutes walk from Berjaya Eden Park). But compared to that experience this was terrible. The rate paid there was much lower. I chose this hotel this time as it was nearer by 2-3 minutes walk time to the tube station of Bayswater. There was no bath tub and the shower space was so small that I could hardly fit in. The room was on the top most floor and the lift was so small that it could fit in 2 people at the most. The lift made terrible noises when it moved. I think it might be my last stay with this hotel.

Very good choice, especially the convenient location for Paddington and Hyde Park. We were lucky enough to be able to check in very early (11am instead of 2pm!) so our stay got off to a flying start, and I was very pleased with the quality of the room for London. Another bonus is that the hotel bar stays open to 1am - perfect if you're not brave enough to venture too far away from the hotel. Only downside was the tiny lift and narrow stairs, but certainly not enough of a problem to prevent a revisit. I will definitely stay here again.

Upon arrival I was impressed with the look and feel of the hotel. A smart foyer with a very pleasant bar and dining area. I had contacted the hotel previously to enquire about the use of an ice bucket for the champagne I had brought with me. This was dealt with very promptly. In answer to my request I was offered an upgrade to a suite for a very reasonable extra cost. I said upon arrival I would look at the suite first to decide whether I would take this offer. One of the receptionist took me to view the room, whereupon we ascended in the 'small lift' . I had read others complain about the lift in earlier reviews, and yes the lift was very small, 2 people at a time, but this only added to the Hotels charm, it made me smile.(The staff seemed very apologectic about the lack of space, but its an old building and without ripping out the interior of the building there's not a lot the Hotel can do about it.Plus it wasnt hard to navigate the stairs, which was also a goodway to explore the Hotel, and get some exercise.)

Got room under ground. Could change after one night. Very hot in London and no air cond. in the hotelroom. Very small washroom floor and smallest size possible of xxx ("where hands are washed").

A bit over-priced but not bad. We stayed for just the one night, an ideal place if you just want to crash. The En Suite IS a bit on the tiny side but not to the extent I was expecting after reading other reviews. I would go again.

The price/quality ratio for London hotels is very good. Also the space in the room is good for London. To have twin beds instead of double bed is better, because the double bed is a little bit to small but it will do for only a couple of nights. The breakfast buffet is excellent and for some pounds more you can ugrade to bacon and eggs or full English breakfast. Only the English of the staff is sometimes a little bit poor but they are always friendly. There is a restaurant in the hotel with decent prices for dinner but there are also a lot of restaurants round the corner.

While the rooms are a bit small, they are not too small by European standards. They are nice and clean. There is a lovely bar in the lobby. The atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy. The staff were all very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very well located by Hyde Park and tube stations or bus stops. However, I got the smallest room I have ever seen in hotels among trips in 14 countries for the last 20 years. Disappointing. Does not justify the cost.

Feeling well w/ my stay. Nice breakfast even not too much choices but makes me full of energy before go for the site seeing. Daily newspaper provided to every room is a very good service. Easy to access at the Bayswater underground. Easty to access the Air Express station when you don't want to carry a big luggage up and down stairs in the underground. The room rate is reasonable.

Clean & well located, but room was painfully small, with the bathroom so small I had to open the door to sit on toilet. no option when booking on line for single occupancy of double room, for which I would have happily paid a supplement. Good hotel, well maintained and staffed, but single rooms far too small.

We were very dissapointed with such a small room, the smallest in the hotel, other double rooms were larger and some even double the size and certainly not worth the amount we paid. We booked a month in advance others who booked a day or so before seemed to be treated better as regards to rooms.
