To cut to the chase, the two things you should be aware of are that: 1. (at least) the bed I slept in had an old sagging mattress and; 2. the street outside the hotel is apparently a "party place" for the locals. People were yelling all throughout the night right outside of my room, making for a LOUSY night sleep. The rest of the accommodations are a good value. The hotel is close to the bus station, so I was able to take a bus to the airport for 3L, instead of a cab (as the staff recommended) for 15L.

Service was good, location good but the room was not so good, shower worked but only just, room just not up to standard we thought we were paying for. Breakfast was ok but bacon a bit rubbery, nothing to get excited about, not even average. All the staff were good and cheery and helpful can't fault them.

Fantastic place to stay. Front desk staff very helpful. Literally beside underground stop. Great price and breakfast. Highly recommended!

Just a couple of wee things really. I was rather late for breakfast (about 9am ish) and I thought that the way in which the food was laid out was unappetising. I love my food, so I still had some anyway! To be more specific, the beans were mush, the hash browns were all mashed together, and the bacon looked as if it was cold and congealing. Not criticising, but maybe it could be looked at? I was a bit later down too, so maybe that had something to do with it? Other than that, the stay was great, room absolutely fantastic and overall very enjoyable! Thanks!

A great central location and service always very friendly. No problem about changing rooms, leaving bags etc.

Location absolutely superb, situated in Glasgow's main shopping precinct. Underground at hotel entrance, taxis within 100 metres and reasonably cheap parking closeby at the Concerthall. The hotel is 19th century and a bit shabby, but it is clean, reasonbly priced and above all perfectly situated.

Fantastic location in the heart of Glasgow, though Buchanan Street can be a little noisy at night. The staff, at check-in and subsequently, were notably courteous and friendly. Breakfasts were very good. The room was ever so slightly worn, but comfortable enough and good for the price.

The hotel is very jaded - seen better times but the staff & management made one feel welcome and were very helpful

Excellent location, friendly atmosphere, good breakfast. Rugging in rooms and corridor are old, damp and needs total changeout.

I thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the Buchanan Hotel Glasgow and would certainly return. My only concern was the bathroom. The water came out brown in the bath and shower and I would sugest a bath mat in the bath as I found it slippery, possibly hand rails to assist getting out of the the bath. I would recommend it. Staff were excellent in their customer care.

Right in the heart of Glasgow's shopping district and very convenient to both major rail stations and underground. A little noisey because of location. Only major complaint I had was no hot water (I hate cold showers!). Continental breakfast was good.

The central location is an asset. The hotel shows its age, but it is a good deal.
