Hotel was in ideal location for SECC which was what we wanted as we were atending a concert. Good value for money but service was not ideal. We were given a smoking room despite requesting a non smoking room, had to ask four times for the use of an iron and then had to go to reception to collect it and waited over an hour for a bar meal.

My room is not big, but very clean and tidy. And I like the couple of biscuits, kettle and nice tea they prepared. It is close to the city centre, only ?3.40 for a taxi, or 15-20 minutes if you prefer to walk. Breakfast Buffey is pretty fine, you can have a big breakfast to start a nice day in Glasgow. It is overall a nice place to stay for one or two nights.

Our 1st choice of hotel in Glasgow - we stay here on business between 12 & 15 times a year! The staff are exceptionally helpful & courteous at all times. Regarding location, it is extremely good for the SECC (about 500 metres!) and a 15 minute walk to the start of the West End restaurants - if you want a brilliant Indian meal, go to Sibbo's Delhi Dhabba directly across the road from the Devoncove Hotel. If you want to go to the City Centre, take a taxi - otherwise it's a 30 minute walk each way.

Nice Clean Hotel, very good location for SECC but 15 to 20 minutes walk into City.

Very pleasant staff - one particular guy was there from when we checked in thro' to check out on the following day, & he was extremely helpful. Great location if attending events at SECC.

Have stayed here several times whist exhibiting at the SECC and the location for this is excellent as well as the rooms rates (if you get a good deal !) and it also has secured parking. The staff are very helpful but mostly foreign which can make communiaction a little difficult sometimes. The rooms are small and there is VERY limited hanging space so if you are staying for more than a couple of days or require several changes of outfits ( as we did ) then it can be quite a problem. The food in the restaurant is no where near as good as when we first stayed two years ago ( in fact it was very poor ) but all in all for the price and location it is still good value for money and I would stay again.

Cheap and clean, breakfast okay. Staff all from eastern europe. Location good for SECC etc but a fair walk to city centre.

We stayed after going to the Rod Stewart concert at Hampden Park, as did most of the folk who came into the bar after we arrived back. It was all very friendly and the staff were very accomodating with us all. I would use this hotel again.

Our favourite hotel in Glasgow - we stay here 12 to 15 times a year and we're never disappointed. It's only 3 minute's walk from the SECC and there's a good choice of restaurants within easy walking distance.

Very Clean good hotel with easy parking at front door. Surprised no fridge in room. As friend had diabetes had to keep running back and forth to reception to put insulin in fridge, But otherwise a nice hotel with friendly staff.

This hotel is a little piece of France in Glasgow. It is very comfortable with good service. City centre access is not ideal for pedestrians however there is free parking. Overall, it is good value.

Hotel was perfectly good value for money and would have received a much higher rating had it not been for the (trainee) receptionist on checking out. Her approach and attitude showed that she was still training - under Basil Fawlty! She was rude and unhelpful and even told the Manager not to interfere when she got the bill wrong and charged my card 10,000 rather than 100!

myself and 4 year old daughter stayed for trip to SECC - staff were unhelpful, we felt quite out of place, mostly buisness people during the day, we had a meal and they definately didnt cater for kids. wouldnt stay there again - the room we got wasnt the one on the confirmation. No sitting area or fold down bed just 2 single beds.

Hotel made my trip all the more enjoyable and was perfectly situated for the SECC - excellent !

The food choice was pretty limited for vegetarians and average in quality - I decided to go out the second night. The room is really small and no heating was on when I arrived so it was cold till I found out how to work the heating. Also I had to change rooms when the television did not work in my first room. Good things are central location and it is quiet - little road noise - and secure parking. Reasonable value at Late Rooms rate!

Hotel very easy to find. Stayed over as going to concert at SECC-BRILLIANT location, couldnt have got close to venue. Excellent value for value, breakfast excellent for price.
