Description: Dalhousie Castle is steeped in history and everywhere there are reminders of its rich and often turbulent past. It was built over 700 years ago by the Ramsays of Dalhousie and has notably remained in the possession of one family longer than any other castle in Scotland.

The hotel has retained much of its original character. The Library offers guests the perfect opportunity to enjoy an extensive collection of books and also enjoy pre-dinner drinks from the "secret bar". The ancient barrel-vaulted dungeons provide an unusual setting for a choice of fine Scottish and French cooking made from local produce. The Orangery Restaurant offers a bright, airy environment to enjoy a light snack from their extensive menu.

The castle is unusual yet beautifully styled with all the bedrooms being distinctively furnished with delightful views of the surrounding countryside.

What a fantastic hotel with its idealic surroundings, helpful staff and fabulous cuisine you cant help but enjoy your stay here. The Castle has so much character and would highly recommend the Hawk walk from the falconery situated at the entrance to the hotel. I recently got married here and couldnt think of better place to have started married life, the honeymoon suite has to be seen to be believed which comes complete with its own wishing well in the bedroom floor no less. We even partook into a guided tour of the Castle with Peter who entertained our group with the stories of the past and present, it was nothing less than superb and are planning to revisit it very soon. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and have travelled fairly extensively over the world, you cant beat a Scottish Castle for romance and relaxation...

Lovely themed room with great view. Restaurant and Bar very pricey. Food good but expensive.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel, once in the castle and twice in the lodge. My only criticism of the lodge would be there are not enough parking spaces or room to manouvere your car.Otherwise we find it a very pleasant place to stay.
