Location Description: Formerly lying on the main A9 road to the north Bonar Bridge, the village has now been bypassed and presents itself as a tranquil escape from the bustle of most modern environments. Set on the main A836 cycle route for Lands End to John O'Groats, the village sits at a crossroads of small, lightly used roads, most of which are single track, which lead the curious traveller to all points; north, east and west.

Dining: The newly opened (April 08) The One restaurant offers the ideal venue for a comfortable and discreet dining experience. The owner /chefs, Iain and Lesley prepare a changing menu based on the best of local ingredients wherever possible. It should be noted that vegetarians usually find this an exceptional venue for choice and quality.
