Transportation: From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG): Distance to Elysees Union Hotel is 25 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. RER line B trains run from the airport to central Paris. Line B3 (Roissyrail) departs from Terminal 2 and runs to Denfert-Rochereau, St Michel, Chatelet les Halles and Gare du Nord. Single tickets cost 7.85 EUR and journey time is about 25 minutes. Roissybus shuttles run from all three terminals to Place de l'Opera. Buses depart every 15 minutes, and single tickets cost about 8 EUR. Air France shuttles stop at the Arc de Triomphe. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Rue Hamelin. Paris is easy to explore on foot, and there is a reliable, cheap metro (underground), which runs throughout the city and the suburbs. The rooms do vary in size, bu there are some larger ones overlooking the hotel courtyard so it's worth asking, if you're not ahppy with the size of your room. They are all clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast has the usual croissants, fruit, yoghurt etc. but is perfectly adequate and there's hot food available for a small fee, if you's still hungry. There is not a huge choice of restaurants in the surrounding area of the hotel but you are so close to all other areas, that it doesn't matter. The hotel is also close to the RER and metro lines, so there's easy access to other parts of the city. The staff are really helpful here, so it's worth asking them for suggestions on where to go. A great hotel in a superb location.
