Very good value for money. Food was more than ample and also plenty of tea and coffee to go with it. Even though the hotel is undergoing a major re-furbishment we did not notice any disruption. Rooms were clean and tidy with towels supplied. Would have no problem to go back there again and recomend it to friends.

The hotel was good value for money. The food was ok and for the money you cannot really argue. The hotel is in a state of refurbishment and so ask for a modern room on arrival. On arrival the lad behind the check in (luckily acnnot remember his name) but he has not been working there for long was quite off with us and did not explain anything to us at all but just handed us a key and said check in was at 4! (we arrivewd at 1.30!) When challenged he was as about as much use as a chocolate tea pot. So i asked the duty manager (Gavin Field) who was ever so helpful and professional unlike his staff. He sorted our three rooms to check in in about a half hour turnaround which was excellent. A friendly guy called James (from Belfast) who sorted the bags etc gave us some really useful advice and he was very interesting to talk to so for local knowledge talk to him! A good stay and the hotel has a nice feel about it. Don't expect luxery but very good value for money nevertheless.

Hotel was warm, food good, entertainment okay, alcohol prices reasonable and came with a big free car park not mentioned in description. Hotel position handy for main shopping centre and trams.

This hotel we have stayed at three times, it is for me, a working class hotel but on a grand scale, it has an infuriating carpark, it has charm, and is very warming, if you want grandeur and all that goes with it, well it aint for you you, if you want a good old fashioned friendly atmosphere with a good cross section of people, where better. We love it, and we have three cars and a jeep, and a paddock large enough for a pony!!!

This hotel was about what I would expect for 30 a night, dinner, bed & breakfast, so I was already anticipated disappointment before I arrived - I thought I would give it a shot just in case it turned out to be an unexpected bargain. I arrived around 20:30 and was greeted by a helpful and polite receptionist who efficiently booked my in. He then told me that dinner had been served between 6pm and 7pm and that I had missed it, but that he would arrange with the kitchen to bring some sandwiches to my room.
