Was not quite sure what to expect on arrival but was EXTREMELY pleased with what I actually did recieve - in terms of quality and value for money. Friendly staff and large rooms - WELL RECOMENDED!

In 2 words: "acceptable minimum" In 3 words: 1. The very disgusting lift, VERY slow (about 3 minutes to reach 3-rd floor) with disgusting loud voice. - makes a bad first impression. 2. No light working in bathroom - hey, man, a little effort to check that the room is OK before a guest is arriving (or maybe I am very spoiled, but I REALLY want to see a soap when I am taking a shower) 3. Very simple breakfast "served" into refrigerator an evening before (cool - as you could guess). It is actually a "make a sandwich" kit rather than breakfast. 4. The receptionist guy don't seem as VERY interested in my arrival, but did a favor. 5. They have a luggage room! If you wont use it, the receptionist will be very nice to give you a key, but do you really think that he will follow someone to verify that he takes its belongings only? 6. Well, price. 63 pound it not a high price comparing to another hotels, but it still a lot of money. I ready to pay it, but for it I expected for much more.

Our recent stay at the Hanover Hotel was excellent Location is one of the most central in the City Rooms were clean and well maintained - forget any other nonsense you read about the Hanover - it was ideal for our group weekend away! Oh but the bit about the street being cleaned and early and the showers being amazing are both true we will certainly be back!

I had a great stay at the hotel, and all eas good. I an however slighly annoyed at the fact that on my last night someone managed to enter my room, the hanover uses a key card system which i imagined to be fool proof but as this happened i am a little suspicious - also annoyed at the fact it was taken so lightly by the staff. Another thing which i found usefull was luggage storage, i had to check out at 11am but my train wasn't untill 6pm so the fact i could leave my heavy bag in a secure room and collect it whenever was great for me giving me freedom to explore holyrood park.

clean, updated bathroom. one spout in sink (for hot and cold), good powerful shower. warm room and very large for 2 ppl. we stayed in the back of the hotel so not as noisy. not too fond of the breakfast in fridge idea, but it was okay for ppl in a rush. tea facilities. great location, just steps away from princes street, restaurants, pubs, sights, etc. on way from airport youc an ask the bus driver to drop you off at the princes street busstop serving hanover and frederick st (which would be a 1 block walk to the hotel). on the way back to the airport, you have to walk towards waverly and go to the aiport express busstop. about 2-3 blocks...would stay again.
