Nice area. Breakfast expensive in addition to room. Car parking very expensive

The Jurys Hotel Bristol was a 2 minute walk from the Science Museum and IMAX and therefore perfect for a family trip. It's also near the waterfront and a lot of restaurants and pubs. The family room was spacious and the staff friendly and helpful. The downside was the quality of the dinner and the fact that the room faced the street and was noisy.

The hotel is rather tired looking and suffers greatly from the location on the harbour as it is very noisy on weekend nights due to the close proximity to the bars and clubs in the new harbourside developments. We cancelled our second night's stay as we had so little sleep and 3 very tired young children, not to mention their parents! The hotel were very understanding and gave us a full refund despite having booked through laterooms.com at a very good rate.

Hotel staff were helpful and bar had good atmosphere but the room was a bit small.

The hotel was not in Whitchurch but was in the Bristol Centre - overlooking the docks. Lovely location. Restaurent opened on to the walkway along the dosks. Only problem - we arrived on one of the hottest days of the year and the air conditioning in our six floor room was not working. Unbearable! A call to the reception got it working, but it took an hour to cool the room down.

We had to find the pull-out beds for ourselves, and when we did the matresses were stained. The manager was very apologetic and gave us his email address - a nice gesture, but we would have preferred it if the room was properly prepared for a family.
