Bad Mitterndorf offers many relaxing leisure and sports activities. In the spring there is the popular daffodil festival and in the fall the forests are colourful and stunning. There are many lakes that are ideal for swimming.
The Alp street to the Tauplitz Alp rises to 1600 metres above sea level and starts directly next to our hotel. The hotel offers a wonderful panorama view of Grimming, Totes Gebirge (dead mountains) and the glacier Dachstein.
Winter:
The ski run of our family ski area ends near our hotel which means that you can ski until our doorstep, if there is enough snow. Our hotel is a great location for ski holidays as it is in Bad Mitterndorf, in the ski area Tauplitz alp - one of the areas of Austria where snow can be guaranteed. The area can get up to 5 metres of snow and in March we normally still have around 3 metres snow.
The 200 km loipe in Bad Mitterndorf, Ausseerland, is ideal for cross-country skiing for all levels of ability. The loipe entry area starts only 200 metres from our hotel.
Rooms: You can choose between spacious double rooms junior suites and fully equipped apartments for 2 to 8 persons. All rooms, suites and apartments feature one or two bathrooms with shower and toilet (sometimes separately).
Double Room (Type A) - These rooms, between 24 and 28 m² in size, have a double bed, a bathroom and a sofa.
Double Room (Type C) - These are nice, spacious double rooms with a double bed, bathroom and balcony.
Double Room (Type B) - Luxury double room, 19 m² in size, with double bed, bathroom and balcony. Twin beds available on request. There is no capacity for baby cots in this room.
Junior Suite (Type D) - This is a large double room with double bed, bathroom, toilet, balcony and sitting area.
Apartment (Type A) - Apartment Type A is 34 m² in size and features a sleeping/living room with dining table, double bed, sofa, bathroom and south-facing balcony.
Apartment (Type B) - 55 m² in size, these apartments have a hall, kitchen, double bedroom, living room with dining table, single bed and a large (1.70 x 2 metres) double sofa bed.
Apartment (Type B1) - 55 m² in size, these apartments come with a hall, kitchen, double bedded room, living room with dining table, and a large (1.70 x 2 metres) double sofa bed.
Apartment (Type C) - 85 m² in size, these apartments feature a hall, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 double bedrooms, living room with dining table, single sleeping area, large (1.70 x 2 metres) double sofa bed and 2 balconies.
Dining: Every morning you can enjoy a terrific breakfast buffet, depending on freshness and quality. We offer you a choice of several cereals and juices, coffee, 20 types of tea and much more.
For your 4-course dinner you can choose between different restaurants of the village of which the hotel is working in co-operation. All these restaurants serve very delicious dishes and can be reached within 150 metres of the hotel.
