Location Description: The house is situated in a residential area adjacent to Lothian road - a district of Edinburgh that is home to a number of restaurants, bars, hotels and theatres. It is also very close to public transport.
Rooms: All rooms have been completely renovated and refurbished in spring 2006. They have gorgeous, sumptuous colours and furnishings alongside fabulous new deep-sprung beds; these along with the new beautiful black-out curtains ensure you will have a most peaceful and relaxing sleep.
As a Victorian house, the rooms are not large, but they are not small either.
Please note that the en suites are small and whilst NB’s would love to make them bigger, then there would be no space for your luggage or chairs!
The rooms at the front of the house can be a little noisier than those at the back with traffic, although there is not much traffic at night.
Standard Double/Twin Room - Lovely double or twin room with bathroom just outside room.
Please note that there is a 2 night minimum stay when you book on a Saturday. There is a 3 night minimum stay during Bank Holidays, Christmas, Easter and New Year.
During the Rugby International there is also a minimum stay of 2 nights.
En-Suite Double/Twin Room - These lovely double or twin rooms are comfortable and attractive with a private en suite bathroom.
Please note that a 2-night minimum stay policy applies on bookings that include a Saturday. A 3-night minimum stay policy applies during public holidays and at Christmas, Easter and New Year’s.

Dining: A cooked and continental breakfast is served from 07:45 to 08:45. However, if you would like a longer lie-in, a continental breakfast can be brought to your room. If you like to rise earlier, continental breakfast only is served from 07:30, or a breakfast tray can be arranged the night before if you have an early flight.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged.

Renovations have been made throughout, but Aarajura still maintains much of the charm it would have many years ago. The old original kitchen in the basement is now our luxury Garden Apartment. The ground floor dining room has been restored as best we could to the original Victorian style, although candles are now replaced with modern light bulbs! All rooms have been completely renovated and refurbished in spring 2006. We have a selection of family, double, twin and four poster rooms.
Description: Beautiful guest house superbly located just a 20 minute walk or 5 min bus ride to Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle and all the great night life of Edinburgh. All rooms have just been refurbished and everything is brand new so it feels and looks great with lots of golds and reds and great modern art on the walls. The breakfasts are a real treat with scottish porridge, smoked salmon and real haggis on the full scottish breakfasts. There are just three parking spaces on the drive so to avoid disappointment on arrival if you come by car, they have to be pre-booked and the cost is £5 per day. There is free parking at weekends and in the evenings on all the surrounding streets.
Transportation: Edinburgh International Airport is approximately 8 miles west of the city centre and you can either take a taxi from the airport directly to us which costs around £15.00, or a cheaper way is to take the airport express bus into the city centre. The bus leaves from outside the arrivals exit every 10 minutes at a cost of 3.30 one way or 5.00 return and then take a number 10 bus from Lothian Road to Granville Terrace.
