Description: Founded as the Oesterreichischer Hof, the Hotel Sacher Salzburg was opened on 4th June 1866 by its owner, the hotelier Karl Irresberger. Its wonderful location near the Salzach River was only one of the reasons why the hotel soon achieved worldwide renown. Exterior: The hotel is an impressive traditional building with a stone facade, everything one would expect from one of the leading hotels of the world.
Lobby: The lobby is impressive as the main staircase leads from the lobby up through the entire hotel. It is small in size and traditional in design leading through to a coffee/bar area with a large seating area with plush chairs and sofas.
