The hotel is excellent and the rooms are comfortable. The only downside is that they do not seem to be able to cater for the large number of people at breakfast on Sunday morning and you therefore have to queue quite a long time for the dining room.

Car Parking only letdown. A priveledged rate in the GMEX car park for residents might compensate for the inconvenience even though you do provide valet parking service.

We stayed at this hotel as from the many years that my family have lived in the North West the Midland Hotel is reputed to be the best in Manchester. We took my 90 year old Mother for Christmas lunch, which when booked at ?90 per head seemed a little pricey but if it was going to be special then that was acceptable. In the event the lunch was anything but special. Indeed it was the sort of lunch that a motorway service station would have produced. Everyone had to spend tens of minutes queing to select food from the buffet. The starter course was reasonably good except that the centre piece was a whole salmon which had been cleaned to the bone by the time we got our turn! The main course was unbelievably bad - very salty Turkey or Beef that was more like shoe leather than meat. The deserts were even worse and completely unedable. The restaurant selected for the lunch was their breakfast room and not their best dining room and as a result the ambiance was terrible.

We thought that the hotel was over the top in the use of light bulbs in the dining room. There was no consideration of the "green issue"

Excellent Hotel - top class in every way. Clean, modern rooms, superb location, have stayed there many times and will definitely stay there again. Hotel recently refurbished - nicely done, although did like the 'old fashioned' reception area they used to have....but very, very nice nevertheless!

The hotel looks very grand but our room on the 5th floor wasn't very clean - there were stains on the bedlinen and hairs on the bathroom floor. I thought it was very over-priced.

A vey efficient clean hotel with exceptional service, we arrived early expecting to leave our bags but were plesantly surprised when we were given the room key 2 hrs before the offical check in time.We will def stay here again (a short walk from Oxford Road Railway Station and close to all the main shops). The room was well furnished with WiFi and LCD TV.

This was a lovely hotel and our stay was very enjoyable, when we booked through the website we made a special request for a room with city view however this was not offtered by the hotel. The other minor things I feel important to mention are that there was a very bad smell in the leisure suite, which I can only describe as a damp smell which I think was coming from the carpet, the pool is quite small and the ladies sauna was out of use with no alternative offered.
